Dear Church Family, Friends, and Community Members,
It is with heavy hearts that we share that Camilla Lagos fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2026, awaiting the glorious return of Jesus.
Camilla was a remarkable young woman whose life touched many in our community. She was a beloved member of the Connecticut Valley Cougars Pathfinder Club, known for her joyful spirit, dedication, and deep love for the Lord. She came to every gathering with enthusiasm and a heart ready to serve, always seeking ways to bless those around her.
At Blue Mountain Academy, Camilla was a freshman student, a gifted pianist,(https://youtu.be/9UquCDh_odQ?feature=shared) and the president of her freshman class. Through her music, leadership, and friendships, she brought warmth and encouragement to her classmates and teachers. Her kindness, faith, and willingness to serve made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though our hearts are deeply saddened, we do not grieve without hope. The Bible gives us this beautiful assurance: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout… and the dead in Christ will rise first.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16
For those who trust in Jesus, death is not the end. It is a sleep until that glorious morning when Christ returns, and the graves will open. On that day, sorrow will give way to joy, and loved ones will be reunited forever.
During this time of loss, we ask that you keep Camilla’s mother Karina, her sister Isabella, and the entire family in your prayers, asking that the Lord comfort them and surround them with His peace.
On behalf of the Camilla Lagos family, the Conn Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church is asking friends and acquaintances to support the family with their medical and funeral expenses during this difficult time. Any support you can offer will be deeply appreciated and will help ease the burden on the family during this time of grief.
Thank you for your prayers, love, and kindness. May we all hold firmly to the blessed hope of Christ’s soon return, when we will be reunited again.
With Christian love and hope,
