On December 18, my nephew Calvin Taylor was involved in a devastating knockerball accident that changed his life in an instant. His neck was broken, and he was airlifted from Franklin, PA to Pittsburgh, PA for emergency surgery—a journey of about two hours. Calvin had just turned 18, and now faces the unimaginable challenge of paralysis. His mother, my sister, has been traveling back and forth between the two cities, all while caring for her three other children at home. The emotional and financial toll on their family has been overwhelming.

We are hoping to raise funds to help cover the mounting travel expenses, medical bills, and provide some support as they try to figure out the next steps in this long and painful journey.
