Callum McGookin was a bright and caring 11-year-old from Chatham, NJ, whose sudden passing in an accident has left his family and community heartbroken. Callum was known for his kindness, his love of adventure, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him, and the community is coming together to support his family during this unimaginable time.

The McGookin family is overwhelmed by the love, generosity, and support everyone has shown their family during this time. And as they look toward the future, they want to make sure the incredible love surrounding Callum leaves a permanent mark on the world. To honor him in the most meaningful way possible, they have decided that the funds raised through this page will be used to establish an official, long-term foundation in Callum’s honor.

The goal is to build a foundation that directly supports causes close to Callum's heart and serves our local community for years to come.

What this means for your donations:

Because setting up a foundation requires state registration and IRS non-profit processing, the funds from this page will be held securely until the official foundation bank account is open. At that point, 100% of the balance raised here will be transferred directly into the foundation's account to jumpstart the mission.
