I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help, but life can change in an instant. Recently, I was in a rollover car accident after my car lost control on black ice on the interstate. The accident left my car completely totaled and I fractured my neck, which means I’ve been out of work and wearing a neck brace while waiting to see a neurologist. Every morning I wake up sore, and it’s been a struggle to help my kids with everyday tasks.

With me unable to work, my wife has been supporting our family on her own. We just found out she’s pregnant, and with three kids already, the financial pressure is overwhelming. Our mortgage and bills are hard enough to manage on one income, and now we’re behind on our electric bill and on a payment plan just to keep the lights on. We’re down to one vehicle, which makes getting to appointments and taking care of our family even harder.

I’ve always tried to handle things myself, but this situation is more than I can manage alone. The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward catching up on bills, covering medical expenses, and making sure my family has what we need as we prepare for our new baby.
