For Caitlyn & Justin — Two of the Strongest People We Know
Some people come into your life and become so much more than friends. They become family. That is exactly who Caitlyn and Justin are to us. We met them over ten years ago and have walked through life together ever since — the celebrations, the heartbreaks, and everything in between.
What this family has endured is almost beyond words. Caitlyn has been battling serious health challenges for years, and in recent years her condition has progressed significantly. She is now almost completely blind, relies on a wheelchair, and is facing her second major back surgery within a single year. She has had to stop working entirely, and every day requires enormous strength and resilience that she somehow continues to find.
Justin has faced a kind of grief that no one should ever have to carry. Ten years ago he lost his beloved daughter Emily. In the years that followed, he lost two brothers. Through all of it, he has shown up — for Caitlyn, for everyone who loves him — with an unwavering strength that humbles us every single day. Last year Justin faced an emergency neck surgery of his own. And this past week, he suffered a heart attack. He is now preparing for triple bypass surgery in the coming days.
Justin has been Caitlyn's sole provider and caretaker. Right now, neither of them is able to work, and the weight of that reality on top of everything else they are carrying is immense.
We are asking — from the bottom of our hearts — if you can find it in yours to help them through this incredibly dark and difficult season. No contribution is too small. Every single dollar is an act of love that will make a real difference for two people who have already given so much and deserve so much more ease and grace than life has offered them lately.
Please share this page. Please give if you are able. And please keep Caitlyn and Justin in your prayers. They would do it for any one of us without a second thought.
