The Mercer Island Orchestra Booster community is heartbroken to share that Locke Bell, the husband of beloved IMS Orchestra teacher Caitlin Olive, passed away unexpectedly earlier this week.

Locke was a familiar and supportive presence at orchestra concerts and events across MISD. Many students and families will remember his warm smile and his steadfast encouragement of the music community. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.

As Caitlin takes time to grieve and navigate this unimaginable loss, we want to support her in every way we can. This fund will help cover funeral expenses and provide a cushion to supplement her private teaching income while she takes the time she needs to heal.

Caitlin has given so much to our students and community through her teaching, guidance, and care. Now it’s our turn to give back and help ease the burden during this difficult time.
