Byron Yoder, my oldest son, is facing one of the toughest challenges of his life. On October 12th, Byron experienced his second Grand Mal seizure, just six months after his first. This led to a diagnosis of epilepsy, and he now needs to be on medication to manage his condition. The adjustment has been difficult for Byron, his wife Dasha, and their three children—Braedyn (14), Darren (13), and Avery (9). Their world has changed in ways they never expected.
For the past ten years, Byron’s main source of income has been his Turo car rental business. Because he cannot drive for at least three months, Dasha has stepped in to help manage the maintenance and upkeep of all the cars. The uncertainty of Byron’s ability to continue his business, combined with mounting medical bills, has put a significant financial strain on their family. Byron is also an ultra marathon runner who has completed several 100-mile races, but he can no longer participate in this important part of his life due to the stress it places on his mind and body.
Right now, Byron and his family need help to cover medical expenses and daily living costs while they adjust to these new challenges. Any expression of love and support for Byron and his family will be deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for considering a donation to help them through this difficult time.
