On Saturday evening, our family’s world changed in an instant. My son, a dedicated lineman and the sole provider for his wife and two small children, was working in his yard to clear limbs and make improvements for his family. While burning a pile of limbs, a tragic accident occurred—a gas can exploded in his hand, causing severe burns to his face, neck, arms, and legs. He was airlifted to the ICU burn unit in Mobile, where he is now being closely monitored and evaluated for possible skin procedures and surgeries, especially on his arms. The doctors expect he will be in the hospital for at least a couple of weeks as he begins the long road to recovery.

This accident has turned life upside down for his family. As the sole provider, his absence from work means a sudden loss of income, and the medical bills are already starting to add up. His wife is by his side at the hospital, and their two young children need care and support during this difficult time. The funds raised will help cover the mounting medical expenses, provide for the family’s needs while he is unable to work, and ensure the children are cared for while their mom is focused on helping their dad heal.
