For those who haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him, this is Buehrle (pronounced bur-lee). He’s a 1.5-year-old Rottie mix, and from the moment Chad adopted him, we knew he was different in the best way. He’s the weirdest, funniest little soul and one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever known.

Buehrle’s been a trooper through so much. At about 9 months, he started showing signs of hip dysplasia, which means his hip joint didn’t form as it should. This causes his bones to move around too much in the socket, bringing him pain, even though he still tries so hard to stay his joyful self. Recently, we learned his situation is more difficult: both his ACLs in his back legs are torn. Because of his pre-existing condition, insurance won’t cover any of his surgery costs. The total for his treatment is about $10,500.

I’ve set up this fundraiser because I’ve never seen a bond like Chad and Buehrle’s—they truly are each other’s whole world. There’s so much love between them that you can’t help but feel it yourself. They’ve brought so much joy and laughter into all our lives, and now I just want to do everything I can to help my favorite guys through this.
