Emergency Support for Bryan’s Life-Saving Surgery & Transplant
A story of strength, faith, and perseverance through unimaginable challenges.

Bryan Tyrian has always been a pillar of his community; A volunteer firefighter in Thomaston, Connecticut for 18 years, and a dedicated youth baseball and basketball coach for many years, supporting his children Kaitlin Suckley, Connor Tyrian, and Dan Suckley. He is a loving husband to Sue Tyrian and a hardworking father who has spent his life helping others.

For the last five years, Bryan worked at Velux in Windsor, CT, managing inventory across multiple warehouses. He loved his job and spoke highly of his coworkers, who supported him through countless surgeries and hospitalizations. Sadly, his health finally forced him to step away from work. Now, he needs our help.

Let's start from the beginning. Bryan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 27, beginning a lifelong medical battle. At 45, he developed Charcot’s joint in his foot and underwent major reconstructive surgery which included pins, screws and a metal plate; but his body rejected the implants, leading to organ failure. Allergic reactions to antibiotics, frequent infections, and other complications followed. In 2021, he was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease and began dialysis. By 2023, his kidneys were failing rapidly, and he was placed on the transplant list. His sister Karin was found to be a perfect match, but the surgery has been delayed multiple times due to Bryan’s declining health to include infections, the amputation of his second big toe, and other setbacks.

In April 2025, Bryan began experiencing seizures for unknown reasons. He was hospitalized for nearly a month, including a two-week stay in the ICU, while doctors worked to determine the cause. Just as he began to recover, further tests revealed multiple severe heart blockages requiring Bryan to have open-heart surgery on May 30, 2025.
The night before his surgery, tragedy struck again. While driving home from dialysis, Bryan was in a motor vehicle crash which totaled his vehicle and added yet another layer of stress and difficulty to his already overwhelming medical situation.
Bryan just wants to live—to be there for his wife Sue, and their children Kaitlin, Connor, and Dan.
This journey has been filled with setbacks, but Bryan is worth fighting for.
Your donations will help cover medical bills, transportation to dialysis and appointments, recovery costs, and provide critical support for his family as they navigate this journey. Please consider giving what you can and sharing his story. Let’s come together and show Bryan he’s not alone.
