Brock Klein was very badly injured in an accident at his home in Boone, Iowa on Sunday, May 17th. His leg was pinned and crushed between a car and the back of a trailer. Despite the pain and loss of blood, Brock managed to free himself while calling for help. Thankfully, his friend KT was nearby and heard his cries, quickly coming to his aid. Brock was immediately airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, where he underwent a seven-hour vascular surgery to save his leg. He lost a lot of blood and required eight transfusions. He has had two surgeries so far and is scheduled for his third tomorrow. Brock spent five days in Critical Care, ICU, surrounded by family and friends offering love and kindness. There are many loved ones who may not yet know about his situation, and we want to reach out to everyone who cares about him. The family is also facing other challenges at this time, including Brock’s father starting weekly cancer treatments this week.
Any funds raised will help cover Brock’s medical bills, rehabilitation, and home care. They will also help with boarding his two beloved dogs and three cats while he is in the hospital, family accommodations near the hospital, and travel expenses. Most importantly, the support will allow Brock to see his young son, who lives two hours away, as much as possible while he heals. This support will make a real difference as Brock faces the challenges of recovery and rehabilitation after his next surgeries.
Any support and love for Brock is welcome and greatly appreciated. Thankfully, Brock is receiving excellent care and is being incredibly strong and brave, but this has been a devastating event for him and his family. Your kindness and generosity will help Brock and his loved ones through this difficult time. Please also consider donating blood to help others in need.
