As you all know, Bright Horizons Wildwood has had to make the difficult decision to close until April 27. Teachers and center staff will only be paid for two weeks - after that, they'll have limited options for bringing in income until we reopen. The Family Partnership Group representatives have set up this fundraiser as way to ensure our teachers and center staff get at least some income during this difficult time. The entire organization plays such an important role in our lives and the lives of our children - it's the least we can do.
We are going to try to raise as much as possible by April 7, any dollar amount helps. We are hoping that instead of paying April tuition, you can pay what you can to support our Wildwood team. Now that we've had a full week without them, I think we all realize how valuable they really are!
The money raised through this will go to all employees of our Wildwood location (except for state supported Pre-K and Tina):
- 18 teachers across 8 classrooms (including floating teachers)
- 3 leadership and support staff
- 1 chef
The donations will be divided equally between all teachers and staff of Wildwood. We have received payment information for each of the teachers and staff - the funds will be withdrawn and paid through Zell and CashApp individually to each recipient. I will send out a campaign wide update when we close that details the final amount to each recipient. The donations will be used by the teachers and staff to get them through their furlough until school opens up again.
I will update this section with question/answers as they come up. In the mean time, please email [email redacted] with any relevant questions and I'll be happy to answer.
About me: my name is Sarah Bowman, I'm a parent of two boys at Bright Horizons Wildwood in Early Preschool and Pre-K. I live in Smyrna, Georgia. The entire FPG group (representing parents of children in all classrooms - infant through Pre-K) has organized the fundraiser on behalf of the teachers.
