Support for Brianna’s family

As some of you have heard, one of our own, Brianna, has become critically ill and is currently in the ICU out in Boston fighting for her life. Brianna had a bad viral illness that has taken over her body and caused her to go into respiratory failure and become septic. Brianna is a full time student, studying to become a social worker to help others.

Brianna’s mom is a single mom who works two jobs to support her kids and give them a great life. Unfortunately, she doesn’t get paid if she doesn’t work and she doesn’t qualify for the state paid leave. Lisa is a very humble, kind hearted person who would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. She works in healthcare taking care of others for a living, and now she needs us to come together to help take care of her.

She would never ever ask for help, so we’re asking for help on her behalf. Lisa is spending all of her time in Boston at Brianna’s bedside, making the two hour commute back and forth every day. Between the cost of gas, hotels, tolls, food, etc…we are hoping to offset some of these costs for her and lessen the burden so that she can focus on Brianna and be there for her for as long as she needs to be. Brianna will have a long road to recovery when she finally starts to turn the corner.

A lot of people are asking how they can help, and this is one way we could think of to help Lisa when she needs it the most. Please feel free to donate, share, and even just send prayers for Brianna’s full recovery. We will also post updates on here to pass along messages so that Lisa isn’t overwhelmed by all the texts and calls. She appreciates people reaching out and sending their thoughts and prayers, but please understand that she is inundated with calls from the medical team and family and friends and not always able to return those calls and texts while she’s at Brianna’s bedside.
