Support for Brian Heller and Family
Brian Heller has spent the past three decades living, teaching and raising his family on the North Island. His love of sport led to many years of volunteering, coaching basketball and hockey.
For the past year, Brian has been bravely fighting Glioblastoma; an incurable brain cancer.
While undergoing treatments and countless trips up and down Vancouver Island for appointments; he remained focused on fighting for as much life as he could pack into his time left here on earth.
The family (especially, Erin) have dedicated this past year to supporting Brian. They have been humbled and very grateful for the huge outpouring of support received from friends, colleagues, family and community.
Brian was unable to return to his job teaching at the high school. Erin returned to her work in September to continue providing support for children in her role as a Child & Youth Care worker. This family has endured so much even as they continue to help others; they’re losing their battle against an aggressive cancer.
I'm hoping we can raise enough money to ensure that Brian and his family can focus on being together through this last phase of his journey.
Any support that we can provide would assist the family as they move through this difficult time.
