On Tuesday, June 23, my family experienced a tragic loss. My brother, Brent Pincock, passed away after his plane crashed during a solo nighttime flight. He took off from the SLC airport at about 10:30 PM and was headed to Idaho Falls, ID. Just before 11:00 PM, his plane crashed near the top of the mountain peaks just east of Willard, UT.

Almost 2 years ago, Brent stepped away from a successful career in health care management to follow his childhood dream of becoming a pilot. He was pursuing his passion for aviation with the same determination, diligence and care that he brought to every part of his life. He was disciplined, committed to learning, and deeply proud of the path he was on. Our hearts are heavy knowing that his journey was cut short, but we are equally grateful for the light, humor, and kindness he shared with everyone who knew him. We are holding tight to the memories, the laughter, and the impact he made in his time here in mortality.

Our greatest concern is now for Brent’s incredible wife, Becca, and their four beautiful children, Maya, Julia, Henry and Emily. We welcome your generosity as we seek to support them with near term funeral and living expenses and longer-term needs, including education and missions for their children.
