The truth is, speaking about my husband and what has happened has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I am still grieving every single day, and some days it still doesn’t feel real. There are moments when I can’t find the words because the pain is so overwhelming. Asking for help has never come naturally to me. I’ve always believed in working hard and finding a way through life’s challenges on my own. But losing my husband has changed my perspective. He wasn’t just my husband—he was my best friend, the best father figure anyone can have, my safe place, my biggest supporter, and my soulmate. He had the kindest heart and a spirit that made everyone around him feel welcomed and loved. He was incredibly talented in so many ways, yet remained one of the most humble people I have ever known. He was a devoted father, a loving son, a loyal friend, and an extraordinary husband. Before this heartbreaking loss, we had taken a leap of faith and moved to Thailand to build a new life together. We poured everything we had into creating a future we were excited about. Our business was still in its first year, and we were working hard to build something meaningful together. His passing happened so suddenly that I now find myself grieving while also trying to navigate the overwhelming financial responsibilities that come with losing the person I planned my life around.
