Hi everyone, my name is Eric. I never imagined I’d be writing one of these, but we are in a situation no family is ever ready for. Recently, our world was turned completely upside down. April passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a stroke at just 47 years old. We are all completely gutted, but the absolute hardest part of this nightmare is looking at our 11-year-old son, Braxton. He now has to face growing up without his mother, and it’s a heartbreak no kid should ever have to carry.

April loved Braxton more than anything in this world, and right now, my only focus is being there for him and making sure we handle things the right way. First and foremost, we need to cover the final expenses so we can give April a proper, respectful send-off without a mountain of financial stress on top of the grief. But beyond that—and just as importantly—every single dollar raised past those immediate funeral costs will go straight into a dedicated savings fund for Braxton.
