Support for Brandon Russell’s Fight Against Cancer

Hi everyone, my name is Hunter Wilson.

I’m creating this GoFundMe for my dear friend and coworker, Yvonne, and her husband, Brandon Russell. They didn’t ask me to do this—I’m doing it because I care deeply for them and want to help in any way I can.

Last week, Yvonne and Brandon received heartbreaking news: Brandon has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, currently staged between 2 and 3. After several weeks of unexplained illness, Brandon became jaundiced, prompting a hospital visit. Doctors discovered a mass on the head of his pancreas, which was putting pressure on his bile duct, causing elevated liver enzymes and making it hard for him to eat or feel well.

Brandon has since undergone surgery to place stents in order to relieve the pressure and improve his symptoms. Now, he is preparing to begin aggressive chemotherapy with the goal of shrinking the tumor enough to allow for surgical removal. If the chemotherapy is successful, surgery could significantly improve his prognosis and quality of life. However, if the treatment doesn’t work, the outlook is much more difficult.

This journey will be extremely challenging—physically, emotionally, and financially. Brandon is currently unable to work so that he can focus on his health and tolerate the chemotherapy as best as possible. This sudden shift has put a heavy financial strain on their family, as they face mounting medical bills and everyday expenses on a reduced income.

I’m asking for your help to ease some of that burden. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go toward helping Brandon and Yvonne navigate this difficult road ahead. Your generosity will make a real difference in their lives.
