In Loving Memory of Brandon Keene

Brandon Keene, 41, was a loving father, devoted husband, and a truly kind soul. He was taken from this world far too soon in a sudden and violent tragedy, leaving behind a family who meant everything to him.

Brandon was the proud father of two boys, Zander (11) and Austin (7). They were his world. Everything he did, every long day of hard work, was for them. He was a hands-on dad, a steady presence, and someone his boys could always count on. His wife Laura was the love of his life—the one person who could tell him “no” and get away with it. Otherwise, Brandon would just do it himself, usually with a laugh. Their bond was deep, real, and full of love.

I had the privilege of being Brandon’s best friend for 27 years. He was the very first person I met when I moved to Florida at 13 years old, and he remained one of the most constant, meaningful people in my life. We could talk ten times in a week or not speak for six months, but when we did, it was like no time had passed at all. That was Brandon—steady, genuine, and always there.

Just this past October, Brandon was at my son’s 6th birthday party. He never missed one. That’s the kind of friend he was. The kind you don’t realize how rare they are until they’re gone. Truly, he was a friend I didn’t deserve.

This GoFundMe has been created to help Brandon’s family during this unimaginable time. Funds will go directly to Laura and the boys to help with funeral expenses and to support them as they face the heartbreak of navigating this holiday season without their husband and father.
