Hello,
My name is Justin and if you are reading this I want to say thank you for giving the time to look into Brad Reynolds’ story and for your consideration to donating. While tests and doctors appointments have been going on for a while now, Brad has decided to share the news of his diagnosis on today the 15th of February
"About 5 months ago, I noticed a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck and thought nothing of it. After growing large enough that I couldn't ignore it longer, I decided to get it checked out. Over the past month I've been to countless doctors and had numerous labs/imaging/pathology as well as increasing fatigue, fevers, etc. Today I diagnosed with cancer, confirming the worst-case scenario. Specifically, I have oropharyngeal cancer in the left tonsil that has spread to my cervical lymph nodes with likely concurrent cancer in the right tonsil.
Next week, I start the long road to recovery. Over the next 6 months I will have a left partial pharyngectomy, right tonsillectomy, bilateral neck dissection to remove the affected lymph nodes, radiation, and possibly one round of chemotherapy. To all of my friends and family that have reached out and offered your help and support, I can't thank you enough! I truly am lucky to have so many great people in my life. I'm still pretty positive about this whole thing and just ready to start treatment and get back to feeling like my self again!" - Facebook post from Brad.
While this is the main diagnosis, there is still much more to Brad Reynolds and the long journey ahead. One of the smartest people I know (along side his twin brother Bruce), Brad has immersed himself in the medical field to help people and make a difference in our community. This may be a speed bump in that career, but we are confident it will be just that.
Whether it is in Orlando or Tampa where he visits, Brad has kept a tight-knit but very large and diverse group of friends. Both he and Bruce have already impacted so many lives with genuine caring and the ability to show us a good.... no, amazing time. I am calling on to these friends and family that Brad has been apart of, and ask for your help. Collectively I believe that we can fundraise enough to cover his medical expenses and allow him to focus on the more important things at the moment.
Please consider donating and be on the lookout for more opportunities to support. Anything and everything helps!
Thank you so much,
