My father, Don Dowling, also known to everyone as Booboo, is one of the most loving, caring, and selfless people you could ever meet. He has always been there for his family and community, offering support and kindness to anyone in need. Recently, while visiting family, he suffered two major strokes in different parts of his brain. He was rushed to the ER, where doctors discovered two blockages. He was life flighted to another hospital and underwent emergency brain surgery. Now, he faces severe challenges: he cannot walk, can barely talk, is blind in his right eye, and may be paralyzed on his right side. He also struggles with memory loss, unable to remember his children or even who he is. It’s heartbreaking for everyone who loves him.

He has always worked hard and made something of himself despite a tough life, sharing his strength and generosity with those around him. Now, he needs help more than ever. He must go through physical, occupational, and speech therapy, but he does not have any insurance, and the support he needs is out of reach. He won’t be able to work for a long time, possibly ever again. Donations will help cover his medical expenses and living costs, giving him a chance at recovery and easing the burden on his family.
