So on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, my father, Bill to some—Doug to others, decided to end his pain and suffering here on Earth and take his own life. Unfortunately this has left us all with a terrible emotional burden to bear, but has left my precious mama with a financial disaster. He had no life insurance, which likely wouldn’t have paid out anyway due to it being a suicide. Now she has to navigate how to pay to have him cremated as well as the cost of living daily life.
