My name is Michell Rendo, and I am Bob Rendo's little sister. Many of you who know my brother are aware that he has already faced so much medically. After nearly a decade of heart-related issues, Bob received a heart transplant on May 1st, 2012. Now, he is once again in the midst of a medical crisis. Bob was recently diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer that has metastasized to his liver and lymph nodes.

As a cancer survivor myself, I understand firsthand the overwhelming financial burden that comes with cancer treatment—chemotherapy, doctor appointments, procedures, surgery, prescriptions, transportation, and so much more. Bob and his amazing wife Tina are facing all of these struggles right now. Being stage 4 and going through treatment should be all Bob has to focus on, but the reality is that the costs add up quickly and can be incredibly stressful.
