My friend is facing every pet parent’s worst nightmare—twice. Within a single year, both of her beloved dogs, Blueberry and Kiwi, were diagnosed with serious cancers. These two sweet pitties are her whole heart, her constant companions, and truly her soul dogs.

Blueberry, her 3-year-old boy, was recently diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. Even at his young age, he has already shown so much resilience—still greeting everyone with a wagging tail and his goofy, loving energy. His treatment plan includes surgery, testing, and ongoing monitoring to give him the best chance at a long, healthy life.

Not long after Blueberry’s diagnosis, her senior dog Kiwi, an 11-year-old gentle sweetheart, was diagnosed with osteochondrosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer. Kiwi has been with her through every chapter of adulthood—every move, heartbreak, celebration, and quiet moment in between. She’s the dog that shaped her life, and now she’s fighting the biggest battle of all. Her care includes imaging, pain management, possible surgery, and specialized oncology visits.

Facing one cancer diagnosis is overwhelming—emotionally and financially. Facing two in the same year has been devastating.

My friend is doing everything she can to give both of her babies the care they deserve, but the medical bills are growing faster than she can keep up with. Between specialist visits, diagnostics, medications, and treatment, the costs are reaching thousands of dollars.
