On Feb 24th my brother Billy crossed over after spending most of the prior two months in the ICU.

Billy was born with an extremely rare genetic disease called Lesch-Nyhan. We were told early on that he likely wouldn’t make it into his teens... he was 38. We had 3 whole extra decades with him than we were told and there are no words for how incredibly grateful and blessed we are for these extra years. Despite his struggles Billy was a glaring beacon of light. His laugh was infectious and you couldn’t help but smile in his presence. My parents dedicated their entire lives to making sure he had the absolute best life he could and we got all these extra years because of it. Even in the end he fought longer and harder than the doctors presumed.

It's been a rough few weeks/months for our family due to the long hospital stay and ultimately Billy's passing. We've been slow to adapt to a world without him.

We are raising money to help fund his Celebration of Life, the venue, the food, his cremation, etc. Any extra unspent will be going to my parents to help catch up from my Dad not being able to work for two months while he was at the hospital with Billy.

We appreciate any help with this, and we will make sure we pay forward this kindness in the future.
