On Friday, August 15, Billy Gass suffered a sudden heart attack. In a moment that could have ended in tragedy, his 17-year-old daughter, Elizabeth—trained in CPR and first aid—acted quickly and courageously, saving her father’s life.

Billy is a devoted husband, and father to two teenage daughters and a proud member of Local 183. Over the years, he has worked across multiple sectors, including tunnels and pipeline, earning the respect and friendship of countless coworkers and community members.

Billy now faces surgery and a long journey of recovery before he’ll be able to return to work. As he focuses on healing, we’re asking for your support to help ease the financial burden on him and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
