My family is facing the hardest time of our lives. My husband Bill’s pancreatic cancer has returned, and this time it’s not curable. The cancer has spread to his spine in three places and possibly to his lung. He is in a lot of pain and feels terrible that he can’t work to support us. We want to spend these last months making memories, but the stress of not knowing if we’ll have somewhere to live next month is overwhelming. We barely made it through last year, still paying off medical bills and trying to catch up on everyday expenses. Now, we’re starting over again with chemo and radiation, which are very expensive, but they will give us precious time together.
Bill has been given 12 months as of January 2026. He can’t work anymore and is currently on short-term disability through work. On top of everything that comes with cancer, our daughter Alex, who helps cover bills, has had a medical emergency herself. She fell and broke her left hip and shoulder, requiring two surgeries and a long recovery—about three months in rehab and then three more months healing at home. She also has a 14-year-old son to support. With both Bill and Alex unable to work, it’s impossible to pay our normal bills and add the medical expenses on top. We just can’t do it alone.
We need help badly. If you can give even one dollar, it will help us keep our home and cover the essentials while Bill and Alex go through this. I am so grateful for any support, and if there’s anything I can do in return—like making homemade bread, dinner, or even cleaning your house—I will. I promise to keep everyone updated on Bill and Alex’s progress. Thank you for helping us stay together and make the most of the time we have left.
