Sadly, on Friday, January 9, 2026, Bill “By God” Wooten was involved in a tragic accident that took his life. Bill was truly one of a kind—a larger-than-life character who left a lasting impression on everyone he met, including many innocent strangers along the way.

Bill leaves behind a loving family and a close-knit group of friends who will miss him more than words can express. We are all fortunate to carry countless “Bill stories” with us—memories we will continue to share and laugh about for years to come.

Unfortunately, with such an unexpected loss come unforeseen expenses. I have created this GoFundMe to help cover Bill’s final expenses, which my dad, Shawn, has taken on during this incredibly difficult time.
