Support for Bill H

On Tuesday, September 8, Bill Handworth (aka Brother) was enjoying the beautiful weather in one of his favorite ways....mountain biking.   He was in the East Setauket trail network where he has ridden dozens of times and knows every root, log and rock.  Unfortunately, on his second lap, his tire slipped on a log the wrong way and he landed forcefully on his side.   An ambulance was called and he ended up in intensive care at Stony Brook hospital with a collapsed lung, 6 broken ribs and a broken clavicle.   

He is pulling himself through with the support of his family and an excellent medical team.    However, Bill's medical bills are piling up and insurance doesn't exist in his case.   He is going to need some help, not only for the medical bills, but for lost wages as he recovers.

If you don't know Bill, but are considering helping out, he has an excellent sense of humor and a genuine love for his family and friends.   He works as an electrician on Long Island and loves to whitewater kayak, mountain bike, ballroom dance with his wife, watch AEW wrestling matches and play board and video games.  He's also an active member of CLIMB and American Whitewater.   Many of you know him through one or more of these activities.   

Let's help Bill (Brother) out.  No one needs the extra burden of medical debt during these already difficult times and collectively we can make a difference.
