Support for Bill Evans

This week ends Bill’s six week treatment of chemo and radiation. He will be following up with the oncologist and surgeon within the following month and surgery will be scheduled for the end of May with weeks of recovery following before doctors anticipate he will be well enough to go back to work.

We are thanking God that the only major side effect has been pain. The side effect lists were long and scary and while we prayed for no side effects so that Bill did not have to take a leave from work, that has not been the case. He has been unable to work for two weeks and is anticipating a handful more while he recovers and rests before his surgery. We all know how much Bill does for his family and any friend who needs something and being unable to physically work has been a struggle. 

But we know God is for us and we are in the center of God’s kindness. The pain is a sign that the treatments are working and we are so incredibly thankful for that. 

We ask first and foremost for prayer. Prayers that God would heal Bill completely, that his pain would dissipate quickly once treatment ends, and lastly, for finances. As we all know, treating cancer is expensive and there are more scans, doctors’ visits, surgery, and a hospital stay down the road. Prayers for God to provide finances and the peace that passes all understanding as Bill and Tammy continue to navigate this road while he is unable to work. 


They are so grateful for those of you giving if you feel led as every little bit will help pay for medical costs, but MOST importantly, they ask for you all to continue to pray.
