Support for Bill Downs & Family

Most know my father, Bill Downs, from either his past chief and accomplishments in the Peru Fire Department or because he works for Peru Town Water & Sewer. My Dad was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma in his lymphnodes in 2015. He beat this cancer and was in remission for about 6 months. We just recently found out his lymphoma has mutated and become more aggressive elsewhere in the body. Because of this, my dad has to have treatment for the next 8 months to a year at LEAST, leaving my Dad unable to work. So he has made the decision to retire, however we have a ways to go as far as when he will receive his retirement. With that being said, my Dad is running out of vacation and sick time - the little bit he has left. So we are asking for help and for support. Every dollar counts and is very much appreciated by my family. Money will help cover medical costs, travel expenses for when my dad receives his bone marrow transplant, bills for when my father runs out of a paycheck, etc. My dad has always been one to give the shirt of his back to others, so let's help him this time.
