My name is Marsha Fritz. I am raising money to help our family pay for the cremation and final expenses for my brother William Berks’ passing. On December 19, 2025, William Berks—known to many as Bill—was shot at his home in Kimberly, Idaho. After bravely fighting for several days in the hospital, Bill passed away on December 24, 2025, from complications related to his injury. His passing has left a deep void in the lives of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Bill was a veteran, remembered for his kind heart and friendly nature. He had a special gift for connecting with people and made friends wherever he went. Bill’s passion for antiques was well known; he loved buying, restoring, and showing off his unique finds at antique shows. Above all, Bill cherished his family and friends, but his greatest love was for his fur baby, Kayda.
Bill struggled with addiction throughout his life, but he never gave up. He successfully completed veterans court and became a recovery coach, dedicating himself to helping others facing similar challenges. Bill facilitated support groups in the community, offering hope and guidance to those who needed it most. His warmth, generosity, and love for life touched everyone around him, and he will be deeply missed.
The family is raising funds to help cover Bill’s final expenses and honor his memory. Any donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to donate but would still like to support the family, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
