My name is Jennifer, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my sister, Beverly Arsenault, who is facing an unexpected and overwhelming medical battle.

On November 17th, Beverly was pulled out of work after experiencing serious difficulty breathing. After a series of tests, doctors discovered a tumor in her chest pressing against her heart and esophagus—making even simple breathing a challenge. Further evaluation by her thoracic surgeon revealed that the tumor has likely been there for quite some time.

Beverly is now in the exceptional care of Mass General Hospital. On New Year’s Eve, her case was reviewed by their Oncology Department. Her biopsy was done this morning (Jan 6). The results will determine what chemotherapy will be used for this cancer. Once that is determined she will start chemotherapy and radiation immediately.

She has already been out of work for seven weeks, and we still don’t know how long her treatment and recovery will keep her from returning. Being forced to stop working right before the holidays has created a heavy financial strain—one she never expected and certainly didn’t ask for.

As her sister, I’ve watched Beverly spend her entire life showing up for others. She is the kind of person who goes out of her way to help, support, and encourage anyone who needs it. She gives her time, her energy, and her heart without hesitation.

Beverly is the proud mother of six children and the loving grandmother of nine. She works at Eastern Propane in Wolfeboro, NH, where she is known for her kindness, her reliability, and her willingness to help anyone who crosses her path.

She’ll probably be a little mad at me for starting this GoFundMe—but the truth is, she needs support right now.
