A week ago , a tragic electrical fire tore through Ben and Kylie’s home, leaving nothing but ashes and heartbreak behind. Kylie is 36 weeks pregnant, their 7-year-old daughter Naomi is heading into Grade 2, and their nephew Darius, who lives with them, is heading into Grade 8 this fall. This young family has lost everything their home, their belongings, even the precious items they’d lovingly prepared for the arrival of baby Jack.

Ben, a devoted carpenter, had poured his heart into building and renovating their home by hand. It was more than just walls and floors it was the place they built their lives, surrounded by love, laughter, and the companionship of their three dogs and two cats. Always kind and generous, Ben and Kylie also opened their home to renters in apartments built in there home they’re the type of people who help others without hesitation.

Now it’s our turn to help them.

They would never ask for this, but they are truly in need. The loss is overwhelming, and rebuilding from scratch with a baby on the way adds unimaginable stress. This GoFundMe is about giving back to a family who has always been there for others.

Il y a quelques jours, un incendie électrique tragique a complètement ravagé la maison de Ben et Kylie, ne laissant derrière lui que des cendres et des cœurs brisés. Kylie est enceinte de 36 semaines. Leur fille Naomi, 7 ans, s’apprête à entrer en 2e année, et leur neveu Darius, qui vit avec eux, commence son année scolaire en secondaire 2. Cette jeune famille a tout perdu : leur maison, leurs effets personnels, et même les articles soigneusement préparés pour l’arrivée de leur bébé, Jack.

Ben est un charpentier passionné qui avait mis tout son cœur à rénover et bâtir leur maison lui-même. Ce n’était pas juste une maison c’était un foyer rempli d’amour, de rires, d’animaux (3 chiens, 2 chats), et de chaleur humaine. Ils louaient aussi un appartement au-dessus à des locataires, toujours prêts à aider et à accueillir les autres. C’est ce qu’ils sont : des gens profondément généreux, attentionnés, toujours les premiers à tendre la main aux autres.

Aujourd’hui, c’est à leur tour d’avoir besoin d’aide. Même s’ils ne demanderaient jamais quoi que ce soit, nous savons qu’ils ont besoin de nous de leur communauté. Ils sont aimés, soutenus, et ils ne sont pas seuls.
