I've been in the hospital since Monday, April 6th, after my water broke sometime between 20-22 weeks into my pregnancy. I'm currently leaking amniotic fluid, but right now Beau and I are stable, and for that, I'm incredibly grateful.
The reality is that I may not make it to full term in August. I'll be staying at Winnie Palmer Hospital for the remainder of my pregnancy and for some time after Beau is born—which could be any day now. Every extra day he stays inside gives him a better chance, so we're taking things one day at a time and focusing on what matters most: my health and giving Beau the strongest start possible.
Because of all this, I won't be able to work for the foreseeable future and had to resign from my job since I did not qualify for any kind of leave since I was so new to the company.
I'm raising funds to help support my bills, my partner—so he can travel back and forth for work—and our animals while I'm away.
Thank you,
Mama Rachel & Baby Beau
