Our Step Father, Basil, was the rock and support to our mother Vera, whom she deeply and truly loved. He was also a true servant of the Lord. As a Reverend and Missionary, he dedicated his life to helping others—always listening, guiding people in their faith, and offering a kind word to anyone in need.

The photo we’ve chosen for this fundraiser is especially meaningful: it was taken the last time Mom and Basil danced together. It captures a moment of joy and love that we’ll always cherish, and we hope it helps you feel the warmth and connection they shared.

Even when our parents had very little, Basil found ways to support those around him, never hesitating to give of himself. His selflessness touched so many lives during his years of ministry.

Although Basil’s passing was not unexpected, it was still much sooner than anticipated, and we hoped there was more time to get his affairs in order. Beyond the deep personal loss, our mother Vera is now facing a future without the financial support she depended on. Basil was the provider for their home, and we unfortunately have found ourselves without a formal plan in place for this transition.

I know Basil and our mother would hate that we are even having to do this, as they were always the ones providing and looking out for others. However, given the current circumstances, we are reaching out for help. We are navigating a great deal of financial uncertainty at the moment, and we are asking for your support to help cover essential bills and living expenses for the next several months while we find our footing through this transition and get our mother on the right path moving forward.
