For a few years now, my mom has been on the kidney transplant list awaiting a kidney. During quite a bit of this time, she has been doing dialysis both in-home and at a clinic, over 80 miles round trip, three times a week. As anyone who has had a long-term medical issue knows, this depletes savings accounts very quickly.

Well, the great news is that this week we found out that mom has a kidney and will have surgery on 8/4/2025 in Seattle. However, after her transplant, she will need to stay in Seattle for approximately six weeks. All travel and living expenses for her and one caretaker while they are in Seattle are out of pocket. This GoFundMe has been established to try to offset some of these expenses.
