Those of you who know me know that when Bailey came into my life over 11 years ago, my life was changed forever. She has taught me what it means to love unconditionally and how much a dog can truly heal you and, in her own way, take care of you. Bailey is a soulful “people person”, passionately loving every human she encounters. And she's one the best friends I'll ever have.
At 12 years old, my sweet, goofy girl is filled with just as much love as ever, but is encountering more and more issues. With recurring and new health problems - from multiple tumors to severe arthritis and elbow dysplasia to recurring UTIs to liver function issues, skin issues due to intense life-long allergies, and now...urinary and bowel incontinence... the medical bills and caretaking costs are piling up and I'm struggling to afford basic quality of life care for my girl.
We're now entering what I would consider a hospice phase. I'm trying to keep her as comfortable as possible as we devastatingly move toward the end of her life. I've decided, for a second time, to reach out to my community for help. Thank you to everyone who has previously donated.
If anyone has even a couple dollars to spare, it would help us immensely with medications, vet appointments, caretaking costs, and more.
Thank you and much love!
