Hi everyone. We are Jacy Avila and Kali Kirkpatrick. We are helping raise money for our best friend Brandi Lavariega and her partner Jeremiah Burdick. Their precious little boy Wesley, who is 2 months old, is PICU.
On the evening of December 11th, Wesley spiked a fever and had difficulty breathing. He was rushed to the hospital and they transferred him via ambulance to Javon Bea hospital in Rockford where he spent the next 5 days. He wasn’t getting any better, so they put him on oxygen and his fever of 105 would not break. They diagnosed baby Wesley with a rare disease called the Kawasaki Disease that affects his heart arteries.
They then, were transferred to the PICU at the Children’s hospital in Madison. His little body did not take the treatment that they had him on, so they are running a second treatment. He is very lethargic now and not responding to anything. Wesley is on Morphine, Tylenol and aspirin to control his pain because he is in a great deal of pain and discomfort. This rare disease is mostly seen in children from the ages of 1-5, so they never see it in a 2 month old.
We are on day 9 of the hospital stay. We are asking for your prayers, love & support.
We are asking if anyone who could be able to help donate towards the expenses that will arise. They live in East Troy so the gas alone is getting to be a huge expense.
i uploaded 2 photos. With these 2 photos, it’s the difference of 9 days. The one of Wesley was the day of December 11th and the other one was today.
