Help Kaytlin, Blake & Baby Tatum

On September 20, 2025, our lives changed forever. My daughter Kaytlin and her husband Blake welcomed their daughter, Tatum DeShea, into the world far earlier than expected — born at just 25 weeks and 5 days.

Tatum was born at 4:48 PM, weighing 2 lbs 1.5 oz and measuring 14¾ inches long. Despite her early arrival, she is showing the world what a true fighter she is and is doing amazingly well so far.

What makes this even more challenging is that Kaytlin and Blake were in Mississippi for their baby shower at our home when she unexpectedly went into labor. Tatum was delivered at the Women’s Hospital at NMMC in Tupelo, MS — 3 hours away from their home in Alabama.

They are now staying near the hospital to be with Tatum during her NICU stay, which will likely be a minimum of 10 weeks. As you can imagine, this has put a huge strain on them emotionally and financially. Being away from home, work, and their normal support system, they are facing unexpected expenses — from lodging and food to bills piling up at home.

We are reaching out to ask for any help you can give to support this amazing young couple as they stay by their daughter’s side during the most critical time in her life.
