Supporting Baby Tate and the Schlichte Family

On November 21, 2025, Tylar and Andy Schlichte welcomed their son, Tate, into the world much earlier than expected. Born at just 25 weeks and 3 days gestation, Tate weighed only 1 pound 6 ounces and measured 11.25 inches long. From his very first moments, Tate has shown incredible strength and determination.

Since his birth, Tate has been in the NICU where he continues to grow stronger each day. Over the past several months, he has faced challenges that most of us could never imagine. He has undergone surgery, relied on specialized machines and respiratory support, and continues to work hard as his lungs develop. He is currently on ECMO following surgery, which is helping give his heart and lungs time to rest and recover. Even through such serious hurdles, Tate continues to show just how strong and resilient he is, truly a tiny but mighty fighter.

While Tate focuses on growing and healing, Tylar and Andy have been doing everything they can to be by his side while also caring for their older daughter, Addi. Balancing life between home and the hospital has meant countless miles on the road, long days, and many emotional moments as they support both of their children.

This fundraiser is simply a way for friends, family, and the community to rally around the Schlichte family and help ease some of the day-to-day burdens during this time. Contributions will go toward gas and meals during their frequent trips to the hospital so Tylar and Andy can focus on what matters most: being present for Tate and Addi.
