Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but our family is going through an incredibly difficult time and we could really use some support.

Our baby, Nolan, had serious complications during birth and has been in the NICU since. He suffered a stroke and has been experiencing seizures, which means he will need to be on seizure medication for the foreseeable future and will require close neurological monitoring. He also lost a significant amount of blood at birth and needed a transfusion, and the doctors are now working to help him regain his birth weight and stay stable.

Right now, he is being closely monitored by specialists who are over an hour away from our home. We are traveling back and forth constantly to be with him, and we’re preparing for ongoing medical appointments and likely therapy in the future.

Between:

• gas and travel costs

• time off work

• medical expenses

• future therapy and care

the financial stress is starting to add up fast.

More than anything, we just want to focus on being there for our baby and supporting his recovery without worrying about how we’re going to afford everything that comes with this.
