Our Tiny but Mighty Asher
Donation protected
On behalf of Jenna and Adam, I first want to express sincere gratitude for your support thus far. Your contributions have made a real difference. Second, I felt it was time to update the page to better reflect where they are currently in Asher’s EA/TEF Journey.
June has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. They have had some very tough moments this month, with setbacks and unexpected complications, but also had some beautiful moments of progress and hope. Unfortunately, at the moment, they are experiencing another heartbreaking setback. Through June, Asher has fought through multiple Gtube procedures, a pic line infection, and Apnic episodes.
A week ago, Asher had bounced back from all the setbacks, and on June 19th, was able to begin his transition home by moving to The Children’s home! He was able to meet his big sisters for the very first time at 2 months old and graduate from the NICU.
On Thursday night, June 22, Asher began having apnic episodes and needed to be transferred back to Children’s Hospital by AMED. By midnight, Asher was intubated and back in the NICU.
Their hearts are shattered…
Asher is a fighter, and his family can not be any prouder of his strength and resilience! As they continue on this journey, they ask for your continued prayers, positive vibes, and support. Your kind words and gestures mean the world to them and give them the strength to keep going.
All donations will continue to go towards gas for transportation back and forth to Altoona and CHP, medical bills, and the cost of this extended stay in Pittsburgh.
