Support for Annie, Mack & baby JT

Last week I became an auntie to a sweet nephew JT who had to make his entrance into this world 6 weeks early!

My youngest sister Annie and her husband Mack just relocated to Alabama from Germany two weeks prior to her having a c-section. They are in a new state and haven’t forged their military family connections yet.

JT was born with some unforeseen complications requiring him to be life flighted 3 hours away to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. He had surgery on his spine at 1 day old for a myelomeningocele (spina bifida) and will also require casting and prolonged ortho care for club feet.

I am setting this up to help them with the unexpected expenses in having to care for their new bundle of joy so far from home. The military will cover most of the medical expenses but giving them a cushion of financial support will help in ways we family wish we could from afar! Hopefully this will help alleviate dog care, gas, and provide all the door dash meals they need during this challenging time.

I am happy to report he has undergone his spinal surgery and is doing remarkably well despite the circumstances. He truly is a little fighter!
