Hi friends,
Many of you have heard that Matt and Hannah recently welcomed their sweet baby boy, Jasper Oak, into the world much earlier than expected at just 28 weeks.
Hannah’s pregnancy began smoothly, but around 23 weeks she started experiencing complications. After several weeks of bleeding and receiving a diagnosis of marginal previa, things became more serious. On March 13th, Hannah was rushed to the hospital due to severe discomfort and contractions. When baby Jasper’s heart rate suddenly dropped, doctors had to perform an emergency C-section. They realized she was having an acute placental abruption, and miraculously they were able to perform the C-section before baby Jasper was affected too severely.
Jasper arrived weighing just 2 pounds 7 ounces, but he is already showing incredible strength—living up to his strong name. He is currently in the NICU, and is receiving wonderful care from the hospital staff.
As Matt and Hannah focus their time and energy on being with Jasper during this critical time, they are also facing the reality of significant changes to their work schedules and lifestyle. While they do have a catastrophic health care sharing plan, they will still be faced with significant medical expenses as well as the ongoing costs of traveling back and forth to the hospital.
As pastors, they have faithfully been pouring into the lives of others and served their community over the last several years. Now, during this incredibly challenging season, they need the support of their friends, family, and community.
If you feel led to give, your generosity will help ease the financial burden they are facing so they can focus fully on Jasper’s care and recovery. Every prayer, share, and contribution means so much and is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for surrounding this family with love and support during this time.
