My name is Jasmine, and I am the godmother of Baby Ja’kobe. His mother, Tamika, is my cousin and truly like a sister to me. Our family is heartbroken as we face the unimaginable loss of Baby Ja’kobe, who passed away just shy of one month old due to complications at birth. When he was born, he inhaled meconium, which caused severe issues with his lungs. He was placed on life support and fought bravely, but despite the doctors’ efforts, he eventually passed away from internal bleeding.
This tragedy is even heavier for Tamika, as she lost her six-year-old son, Jacob, in 2021. Tamika is a devoted mother to her three-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son, who are also grieving the loss of their baby brother. She is not someone who would ever ask for help, but I know how important it is to her to have Baby Ja’kobe laid to rest next to his brother, Jacob. I want to do everything I can to help my cousin carry this burden, so she can focus on her family and healing.
The pain she is experiencing is something no parent should ever have to endure, and our family is struggling to find comfort in this difficult time. We want to honor Baby Ja’kobe’s memory and give him a peaceful resting place next to his brother. The funds raised will go directly toward funeral and burial costs, helping to ease the financial burden on Tamika so she can focus on healing and being with her loved ones. Any support—whether through donations, prayers, or kind words—means the world to us. Your generosity and compassion are a reflection of God’s comfort and mercy, and we are deeply grateful for every act of kindness. Thank you for helping us give Baby Ja’kobe the farewell he deserves and for supporting Tamika through this unimaginable loss.
