Relief for baby Jaden's family
Donation protected
On Thursday, April 4th, Leilani (single mother of two beautiful boys) received an unimaginable call at work - her 6 month old child, Jaden, was being rushed from daycare to the hospital due to a head injury. When she arrived at the hospital, it was clear that something was seriously wrong. They were then quickly air lifted to Los Angeles Children's Hospital.
At LACH, doctors predicted that a brain hemorrhage occurred due to impact from abuse that took place that day. Leilani is having an unbearable time coping with this possibility.
On Friday, doctors gave baby Jaden a 0% chance of survival, but Leilani refused to lose hope and requested neurological tests to scan for any signs of brain function. On Sunday morning, April 7th, a final scan tested negative for brain activity. To Leilani's dismay, Baby Jaden was officially pronounced brain dead. Friends and family gathered in the tiny hospital room to grieve for the tragic loss of a precious, innocent life.
As close family friends of Leilani, we are coming together to support her emotionally, spiritually & financially. We are still anticipating what her specific needs will be, but at this point we want to relieve her of any financial stress of having to provide for her son Jeremiah (3).
