Baby Jackson was born prematurely on January 3rd at 34 weeks due to preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome. He spent 25 days in the NICU and then got to come home.
He was doing really well and reaching all of his milestones. The first week of March he started showing concerning symptoms such as choking on his food and spitting up a lot after every feeding and gagging. He started having apnea alarms and also became extremely lethargic. He even fell asleep during a spinal tap at the hospital.
After visiting the ER and having dips in his heart rate, he was life flighted to Toledo ProMedica's Pediatric ICU.
He has a couple bills from visiting doctors the past couple weeks that his insurance won't cover. We are also behind on rent because taking care of him the past month and a half has been a 2 person job, and we are both exhausted.
We managed to survive 25 days in the NICU thanks to the support of friends and family, and we are asking for help again as we stay with Jackson in Toledo. We aren't sure how long he will be here.
