Our dear friends Justin and Shannon recently welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Hunter, into the world a moment that should have been filled with nothing but joy. But shortly after his arrival, they received news: Hunter has a heart condition and will need surgery. No parent is ever prepared for something like this. Instead of being home soaking in these first precious moments, they are facing hospital stays, difficult decisions, and the emotional pain of watching their newborn fight so hard.

Hunter isn’t the only child they are caring for; they also have five other children at home who need love, support, and stability during this incredibly difficult time. Their family is doing everything they can to stay strong for all of their kids while navigating something no family should have to face. Along with the emotional toll, there is also a heavy financial burden. Medical bills, time away from work, travel, childcare, and daily expenses quickly add up. Right now, their focus needs to be on Hunter and their children, not the stress of how to manage it all.
