Hi everyone, I’m reaching out on behalf of an incredible family—Destinee and Mike—who could really use some love and support right now for their beautiful baby girl, Ember. Ember was born earlier than expected and has already been through so much in her short life. Since March 17th, she has been in the NICU, receiving care and fighting every day. She has been diagnosed with a swallowing disorder, which makes feeding difficult and unsafe for her. Because of this, she now needs to be transferred to a larger children's hospital where specialists can give her the care she urgently needs.
The next steps include placing a G-tube to help ensure Ember gets the nutrition she needs to grow and thrive, along with additional testing due to skeletal dysplasia affecting her legs. Her journey is just beginning, and there are still many unknowns ahead. Destinee and Mike are doing everything they can to stay strong for their little girl, but the unexpected transfer, travel, gas, and meals are becoming overwhelming. On top of everything, they have four other small children at home, waiting for their sister to come home. The added responsibility and worry for their other children makes the financial stress even greater.
Thank you for your kindness. Your support means so much to this family, and sharing this fundraiser can make a big difference. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount can make a difference for this family during such a difficult time. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world. Thank you for keeping Ember, Destinee, and Mike in your thoughts and prayers.
